Cotton made in Africa (CmiA)
The label CmiA, awarded by the Aid by Trade Foundation (AbTF)links small-scale African producers with trading companies and fashion brands around the world. This label guarantees cotton produced according to environmentally-friendly practices and fair working conditions for farmers.
Our commitment to CmiA :
- Production in 4 SODECO plants 50 to 60 million tonnes of fibre produced ( 18% of total produ ).
- Direct impact on local communities Training growers to improve yields while preserving the environment.

Better Cotton
The label Better Cottonissued as part of the Better Cotton Initiative (BCI)guarantees environmentally-friendly production in line with rigorous sustainability criteria. In October 2024, an historic agreement was signed between the Better Cotton Initiative (BCI) andAssociation interprofessionnelle du coton (AIC) to implement this program in Benin.
